We specialise in beautiful, freshly baked buttercream cakes. Always thoughtfully curated with love. No two cakes are ever identical!

We want to curate a wedding cake that we are utterly obsessed with. Because if we're obsessed, chances are you will be too! This means that we will only take on wedding cakes that fully align with our caking style. If we feel your overall vision is best aligned with another cake maker in our community, we will respectfully recommend you elsewhere.

Bigger doesn't need to be better! We offer single tiered cakes and 2 tiered cakes. We don't offer cakes any larger than 2 tiers, however we have other ways of generating further servings! We love the idea of a beautiful smaller cake for cutting, accompanied with cupcakes or pre cut cake slab slices if required! Pre cut slab slices can be kept out the back until the cake is cut, and your guests are none the wiser!

CUSTOM CAKE TOPPERS
We have a supplier that is able to design a custom topper for you. This is charged at $30 incl GST and comes in a wooden or gold finish. We can provide mock ups of design upon enquiry. Please note, if you are wanting to provide your own cake topper, this MUST be discussed upon enquiry. Cake toppers are not just an after thought, they should be carefully considered when it comes to designing and decorating to ensure we achieve a beautiful cohesive design. Sweeties by Dan has the right to refuse working with cake toppers that don't fit within our style.

FLORALS
We LOVE working with beautiful fresh flowers. If you'd like us to source the flowers for your cake, we ask that specify any colour scheme you'd like and that you send us through some photos that give us an indication on your theme. If you'd like your florist to supply the flowers, this needs to be made known upon initial enquiry. We can then organise either collecting the flowers from your florist, or coordinating install at delivery.

Flowers are best applied fresh the morning of your big day. Please note, flowers are placed in the cake, wrapped in tape and sometimes wire to protect them from touching the cake. Please ensure this is removed before consuming.

Our preferred local florists are Flour & Bloom, Aster & Bloom, Le Fleur and Frankie & Flora.

DELIVERY
We offer free delivery within 10km of our head quarters at 47 King Street, Hamilton. After this, delivery is charged at $1 per km including the return trip to a max of 60km. Delivery is pending availability.

TRANSPORTATION
If delivery is not going to be an option, that's okay! We will prepare the cake for transport to the best of our ability. However once it has left our head quarters, we will not be held liable for any damage/loss. The cake will be provided in a box with a piece of non slip mat inside. We will also provide a piece of non slip mat to go on the floor of your car. We strongly recommend placing the cake box flat in the boot. It is very important that the cake stays chilled for the duration of the transport, so we recommend having the air con on cold and on full blast. In the heat of summer, we also recommend blacking out windows with towels etc to avoid the sun shining directly on the cake. Whilst we can do our best to prepare the cake for transport, at the end of the day it is buttercream and it will melt and slide when heated.

We recommend the cakes being kept in a chiller until just prior to your reception commencing.

CAKE TASTING
Once or twice a year we release a degustation cake box with all of our popular flavours, keep an eye out! Otherwise feel free to pop in to one of our cabinet days to purchase cupcakes or cake slices. Flavours change frequently.
