By submitting an enquiry and/or paying a deposit you are confirming you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Payment Policy
Upon you confirming you'd liked to proceed with the order quoted, Sweeties by Dan will issue an invoice with payment details. To secure your booking, Sweeties by Dan requires a 50% non refundable deposit + the full itemised cost of any florals or cake toppers being ordered (can be found on invoice). The remaining balance of the invoice must be received 7 days prior to the collection/delivery date of order. You are welcome to pay for the whole invoice at once. You are also welcome to pay for your invoice in multiple payments, provided the full amount is received 7 days prior to your agreed collection/delivery date.

All prices on this website are in NZD. Payment instructions are provided on your invoice.

Collection Policy
Sweeties by Dan will package your order as safe as possible in preparation for transit. We also have details under our FAQ page on how to transport your cake. Once you or a nominated person has collected your order from Sweeties by Dan, we are no longer responsible for any damage or loss to the product. No refunds or exchanges will be provided of any kind for any loss or damage in transit. We will not be held liable for any products that have been placed where there is the possibility of melting due to sunlight or heat.

Sweeties by Dan has the discretion to charge $20 for every 15 minutes that you are late to collect your order.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens! If you wish to cancel your order, we require this in writing via email.

Please note, regardless of the notice given to cancel an order, the cost of florals and custom toppers is at the discretion of Sweeties by Dan as to whether it is refunded. This is due to us needing to pay our own non-refundable invoices to these suppliers to secure your orders. In the event you have cancelled your cake and we have already received your custom cake topper, you will not receive a refund however will be given the option to keep your custom topper.

If you wish to cancel your order more than 7 days prior to your agreed collection/delivery date Sweeties by Dan will retain the 50% deposit paid, but refund the remaining balance of invoice if paid. (Excluding florals & toppers.)

Should you cancel your order within 7 days of your agreed collection/delivery date, Sweeties by Dan will retain the 50% deposit paid, but have the discretion to refund the remaining balance of invoice if paid. (Excluding florals & toppers.)

Should you cancel your order within 24 hours of your agreed collection/delivery date, Sweeties by Dan will retain the full invoice amount.

Should you not show up at the agreed time of collection, Sweeties by Dan will attempt to make contact with you 3 times over the space of 1 hour from your initial agreed pick up time before cancelling your order and retaining the full invoice amount. If contact is made with you successfully, we reserve the right to cancel your order and retain the full invoice amount if we can not accomodate the new required pick up time. We can not guarantee the freshness of your order, if you do not pick up at your initial specified time. We also can not guarantee we will be available for you to pick up your order, if you do not pick up at your initial specified time. Sweeties by Dan has the discretion to charge a late fee of $20 per every 15 minutes late.

Should you need to change the date of your order, this will be subject to availability and a refund is at the discretion of us.

Refund Policy
Each creation that leaves our kitchen, is one that we are proud of. By placing an order with Sweeties by Dan you acknowledge you have viewed our gallery and appreciate our style of decorating. Therefore, no refunds or exchanges will be given if you are unhappy with the colour, design or overall decoration of your order.

If you are unhappy with the quality or taste of your order, you must contact us to return the product to us within 24 hours of when it was collected/delivered. Refunds or exchanges will then be decided at the discretion of Sweeties by Dan. No refunds or exchanges will be offered for an order that has been consumed.

Some products are available to courier nationwide, however this is at your own risk. Sweeties by Dan will package your order to the best of our ability. We will not be held liable or provide refunds or exchanges for any loss or damage that occurs once the order has been picked up from us.
